Before joining, review the benefits NU Pre-med AMSA can offer you, such as Kaplan and travel discounts, The New Physician magazine and internship, program and institute opportunities.

Join NU Pre-med AMSA in two steps:

1) Submit $10 chapter fee with your full name and e-mail address: cash, or check payable to Northeastern University Pre-med AMSA, given to our treasurer (contact her by e-mailing NEUpremed@gmail.com), AND

2) visit the national AMSA Premedical Membership website to finish the process.

Note that you can participate in many of our programs without paying the dues, BUT to receive full internship, programming and discount benefits (Kaplan discount, course auction, institutes) you must have paid both national dues and the chapter club fee of $10. New members get a free t-shirt and an MSAR (first-come-first serve) at our next (Oct. 14) meeting.

FYI: Just joining AMSA the year you need the Kaplan discount may be a bad idea because medical school admissions directors are smart and will very likely figure out the scheme.

Also, since medical school applications ask for a summary of involvement with each organization, try to get involved!--do what fits your interests and availability, and please never hesitate to schedule a time to meet with an officer to discuss your interests and what we have to offer you as a national organization and a NU chapter club.
